Hello ladyred44,

Welcome to the forum. Sorry it took so long to get your posting approved, I've just started a new job so I have not had a lot of time to monitor the forum.

To answer your question, your insurance is used to replace your property, your car. So if you maintained the proper type of insurance you should contact your insurance company about the collision. Your employer's insurance will likely not be used to replace your vehicle.

But to really know additional information needs to be acquired:

Did you receive additional compensation, usually known as "mileage", from your employer for using your own vehicle?

If you did receive mileage, how much was that, based upon 'per mile'?
Don't expect others to fight your Battles
